FAQ
About Rebel Auto Glass
Yes. Rebel is not a franchise or a national chain. It’s a Las Vegas business, built by a Las Vegas local.
Visit rebelautoglass.com or give us a call. We’ll get you taken care of.
Rebel Auto Glass is a locally owned mobile glass repair and replacement business based in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was founded by Brandon Preston, a longtime Las Vegas resident with deep experience in the auto glass industry. Brandon built Rebel on the belief that quality work and honest pricing shouldn’t be hard to find.
National chains run on volume. We run on reputation. When you call Rebel, you’re dealing with people who care how the job turns out — because our name is on it. You get mobile convenience, transparent pricing, and a team that stands behind its work.
Driving in Las Vegas
It does. When temperatures hit triple digits, the glass and the frame around it expand at different rates. A chip that’s stable in mild weather can spider out into a crack in one hot afternoon. If you’ve got a chip, don’t wait.
Highway driving does increase your exposure — especially behind large trucks on I-15 or US-95. Keeping distance from gravel or debris-hauling vehicles is the best prevention. But if you do take a hit, call us before the chip grows.
A few reasons. Las Vegas has more active construction than almost any city in the country — gravel trucks, loose debris, and chip-heavy highways are everywhere. On top of that, the extreme heat causes glass to expand and contract, which turns small chips into cracks faster than in cooler climates. It’s not bad luck. It’s just Las Vegas.
Insurance & Pricing
Yes. We can walk you through the process. Give us a call and we’ll help you figure out what your policy covers and what steps to take.
Mobile service is how we operate — it’s not a premium add-on. You get the convenience of us coming to you without paying extra for it. Pricing is fair and upfront.
It depends on your policy. Most comprehensive insurance policies cover auto glass, and in many cases you pay nothing or very little out of pocket. Repair is often covered at no cost to you.
No problem. We work with customers paying directly too. Pricing is straightforward — we’ll give you a clear number before we start any work.
We work with all major insurance carriers and take all major forms of payment. We even accept Klarna, which allows you to make payments!
We work with all major insurance providers. Call us and we’ll walk you through the process.
In most cases, using your comprehensive coverage for auto glass does not raise your rates. But insurance varies by provider and policy. We’d recommend confirming with your carrier. We’re happy to help you think through it — just give us a call.
Mobile Service
Yes. As long as we can safely access your vehicle, we can work there. Home, office parking lot, job site — wherever works for you.
Call us or reach out through rebelautoglass.com. We’ll confirm your location, assess what’s needed, and get you on the schedule.

Quality & Warranty
Yes. Our standard is that the job is done right the first time. If something isn’t right, we’ll make it right. That’s not a tagline — it’s how we operate.
We use quality glass that meets the standards for your vehicle. If you have specific questions about glass type for your vehicle, ask us when you call — we’ll give you a straight answer.
Yes. Mobile doesn’t mean lower quality. We use the same materials a shop would use, and our work is done by experienced technicians. The difference is we come to you.

No. We handle front windshields, side windows, rear glass, and specialty glass. If it’s on a vehicle and it’s glass, there’s a good chance we can help.
Yes. We cut custom laminate glass to spec for semi trucks, work trucks, and other specialty vehicles. This is something most local competitors don’t offer. Call us with your vehicle details and we’ll confirm what we can do.
We work on a range of vehicle types beyond standard passenger cars. If you have a specialty vehicle — including boats — call us and describe what you need. We’ll let you know whether we can help.
ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Many modern vehicles have cameras and sensors mounted near or behind the windshield that power features like lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and forward collision warning. When a windshield is replaced, these systems often need to be recalibrated to work correctly. If your vehicle has these features, calibration is not optional — it’s a safety requirement. We handle calibration as part of the replacement process.
Windshield Repair vs. Replacement
Yes, and in Las Vegas it happens faster than you’d expect. Heat, road vibration, and sudden temperature changes all cause chips to spread into full cracks. If you’ve got a chip, getting it looked at sooner saves money and avoids a more complicated fix later.
A good starting point is the quarter test. If the chip is smaller than a quarter, it can often be repaired. If the crack is longer, in your direct line of sight, or spreading, replacement is usually the right call. When you contact us, we’ll assess the damage and give you a straight answer — no upsell.
Generally about an hour, but it depends on the adhesive used and conditions. We’ll give you a specific timeframe when we complete the job so you know exactly when it’s safe to go.
A chip repair typically takes 30 to 45 minutes. Replacement takes longer — usually 60 to 90 minutes — plus cure time before you can drive. We’ll walk you through what to expect when we schedule your appointment.
For the first 24 hours: avoid car washes, don’t slam doors (the pressure can affect the seal), and leave the retention tape in place if we applied any. We’ll go over all of this with you when the job is done.
A chip is a small impact point where a rock or debris hit the glass. A crack is a line that extends outward from that point — or from nowhere if the glass was stressed by heat or pressure. Chips can often be repaired. Cracks usually require replacement, depending on their size and location.
